History
North of Watford Actors' Agency is one of the longest running co-operative agencies in the country.We were established in 1984 by a group of actors living in the North who were keen to have greater autonomy over their careers and the opportunity of helping young actors starting out on theirs.
Location
Located in Hebden Bridge, North Of Watford is ideally situated half way between Leeds and Manchester with a good rail link and easy access to the M62 and M1. We have good working relationships with Granada TV, YTV and the BBC as well as the many theatres - whilst not forgetting that our actors are excellent travellers and work all over the UK and worldwide!Work
Over the last year North Of Watford members have appeared on television in amongst others, The Chase, The Royal, The Royal Today, Emmerdale, Heartbeat, Coronation Street, Strictly Confidential, No Angels, and Where the Heart is.Our actors have recently appeared in theatres nation-wide including Lisa's Sex Strike (Northern Broadsides), The Harder They Come (Theatre Royal Stratford East), Wind in the Willows (Basingstoke Haymarket), Little Voice (Oldham Coliseum) amongst many others. Worldwide tours have taken our actors as far as China, Dubai and Spain!
We regularly provide actors for the BA Broadcasting course at Leeds University and the Film and Video Production course at Bradford University in association with National Media Museum. This is in addition to numerous other role-play and corporate video jobs in a wide range of industry training.
